New Partnerships with the Chiropractic Outpatient Clinics Announced, October 2010
The Chiropractic Outpatient Clinics Clinical Placement program has been expanded with the new partnerships of The Sydney Grammar School and Baptist Community Services commencing in 2010. These partnerships in conjunction with the ongoing work with Parramatta Mission and the Macquarie Universtiy Rugby Club provide an important diversification in case mix for student interns. As is the case in our Outpatient Clinics, student interns are guided by our talented and dedicated Clinical Supervisor team at each of these placements and, interns are required to complete the same paperwork.
Work with the Baptist Community Services commenced with the contacts provided by two of the student interns, Catherine Carter and Andreas Kolsvik. Initial feedback from the Baptist Community Services residents and Director of Nursing has been very enthusiastic, and residents are responding well to the service provided by the interns. Our partnership with The Sydney Grammar School as made possible through the contact of our Clinical Supervisor, Dr Fleur Castlereagh, Chiropractor; with the weekend of 23 October 2010 our first in attendance at the Basketball and again with very positive feedback. Our work with Parramatta Mission is much appreciated by the clients of the Mission with outstanding feedback from management and full patient bookings weeks in advance.
Both the Clinic Director and Clinic Practice Manager are delighted to be able offer interns the opportunity to undertake part of their internship in these locations, 2010 is indeed an exciting time to be enrolled in the Master of Chiropractic.
