Scholarships and Prizes

The Department of Chiropractic recognises merit and excellence in students through the award of scholarships and prizes. It works with various professional bodies to attract scholarships and prizes for its students. Individuals and organisations have generously donated funds for these awards.


NSW Chiropractic Student Trust Fund, Student Loan Scheme 2011
The trust fund provides loans of up to $5,000 per year for students, from NSW, in the final two years of chiropractic programmes. Click on the link below for more information and an application form. Closing date 30 December.

James Maxwell Scholarship 2011
This scholarship consists of $10,000 payable over the final two years of the program. It is for students entering the fourth year of the Chiropractic Program. Closing date 15 December 2011.

SARRAH
Services for Australian Rural and Remote Allied Health (SARRAH) is a nationally recognised as a peak body representing rural and remote allied health professionals. SARRAH is a 'grassroots' organisation whose membership consists of individual allied health professionals across rural and remote Australia.

Scholarships
SARRAH has been contracted by the Department of Health and Ageing to administer two scholarship programs for allied health professionals – the Rural Allied Health Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme(RAHUS) and the Australian Rural and Remote Health Professional Scholarship Scheme (ARRHPS).

Funded through the Department of Health and Ageing
Services for Australian Rural and Remote Allied Health (SARRAH) is the national manager of two Australian Government funded scholarship programs. They are two components of the suite of long term initiatives by the Australian Government to increase the number of health professionals in rural and remote areas of Australia.
Rural Allied Health Undergraduate Scholarship Scheme (RAHUS)
Entry level scholarship scheme for allied health and oral health students.
Provides a scholarship of $10,000 per annum for students of rural background undertaking eligible accredited entry level allied health and oral health courses at Australian Universities. There is one funding round per year.


NSW Chiropractic Council is not offering any scholarships for pre professional chiropractic studies in 2011.


Macquarie University Scholarships

Macquarie University offers a wide range of scholarships that not only generously reward students who have demonstrated academic excellence, there are also a wide range of equity scholarships. Each year Macquarie University awards over $2 million in scholarships. In addition to the University scholarships many faculties also provide scholarships for students.
